CHURCH RECORDS
1863-1976
Church records translated and extracted from microfilm rolls #1099 and #1100 by Gloria Dettleff available from Concordia Historical Institute St. Louis, MO. Thank You, Gloria! |
Keep in mind that the original early records are written in German and in a very different script format typical of the 1800s. Due to this fact one can expect errors and multiple variations in the spelling of both given names and surnames. Also, the records are extracted “as is” in the German spelling, e.g. Heinrich, not Henry; Johann, not John, etc.
Records encompassed: Births 1863-1930; marriages 1863-1950, deaths all-inclusive, early confirmations and selected witness and sponsor data. In some death entries there are long narratives in German accompanying the entry. Pertinent data was extracted as best guess from these entries. As with all genealogy research, please consult the microfilm directly in the case of uncertainties for further clarification.
