Thank for the previous info, I got info from Wallburg but Joseph's birthday is 2 Apr 1842 and our Joseph is 26 Mar 1842. Some of the kids work out. Maybe our Joseph is wrong, could that be. They mention Barbara Mueller as the Mother. Some trees have Victoria Isenmann as Mother and another Caroline unknown. On 1870 censu Caroline Schmidt is listed with Ferdinand and Baltimore Schrempp. Were there two sets of families. and if you have any info on any Schrempps living S West of Damiansville. I would like to know. Arlene

Thank you Dorothy Falk. You did an excelent job. I am working on the Schrempps that lived in Looking Glass. I have Joseph b. 1842 & Barbara and family. What I cannot find are Joseph's parents. I look at the microfilm but some of the early film is black and can't read. Can you help me. Arlene

According to an entry on ancestry.com by the Kaufmann family, Joseph's parents were Seigbert Schrempp and Maria Anna nee Scheirmaier. They were married 4 Oct 1836 in Wallburg, Freiburg, Baden, Germany. I don't understand the entry about their parents. There is info on other siblings, if you need it, let me know. As of now, weather cooperating, perhaps a photo of Joseph and Barbara's stones, if any, might be online in 3 or 4 weeks. |

Herbstreit is what I believe the German version of this name, and it is a common name in south-west Germany.
Familysearch gives:
Johannes Baptista Herbstreit, son of Sebastian Herbstreit and Maria Anna Kuenstler, bapt. 25 May 1795, catholic, in Ettenheim/Freiburg, Baden, Germany.

Maybe this can be a starting point for further research. I think there is another Ettenheim in Baden, near Offenburg, where also Herbstreits may have lived.

Looking for info. on the Thomas Jones family who lived around Irishtown. He married Lucinda Ellen Kittle 7-8-1877. Children in the household were Alvin Tatom m. Alice Truitt, Frances Kate (Tatom or Jones) m. Charles Apple, Edith (Tatom or Jones)m. Charles Nettles and Annie m. ? There was also a Willie Vogel living in the gousehold. I need info. as to whether the children were Tom Jones natural or adopted children.

Am trying to establish the paentage of g-g-grandmother Rhoda Hanon Swesey who wass born in Christian co., in 1827. She married Wm. Swesey in McLean Co., IL 02 Oct 1845. If Jesse or Martin Hanon left wills, the names of their daughters may be mentioned. Martin Hanon died 5 April 1879. Jesse SR.'s death is unknown. There was aslo a James Hanon who had a daughter the right ag in 1840. Is there someway you could help me. Its a little far for me to get the informatin personally 0- live in Arizona.
