The Illinois State Historical Library has preserved seven issues of the Keyesport Journal on microfilm. It covered Clinton and Bond Counties' news. The newspaper was probably only published from 10 Nov 1897 to 1898. The seven dates preserved are within a four month period - 10 Nov 1897, 9 Feb 1898, 16 Feb 1898, 23 Feb 1898, 2 Mar 1898, 9 Mar 1898 and 16 Mar 1898. Penny Sanders, bless her heart, transcribed and excerpted these seven issues by broad categories. She deserves enormous thanks. John Ratermann scanned them so we can put them online, thanks to you, too, John.
If anyone has a copy of any other issues, please let us know. If you wish to read the whole article, your local lending library can borrow Microfilm # 23153176 for you. Thanks, Penny, it's really fun to read these.
