Last Will and Testament of Anna Catharine Stroot

In the name of God Amen.

I Anna Catharine STROOT of the town of Breese in the County of Clinton and State of Illinois being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament.

I give and bequeath to my Daughter (Marg. Catharine) wife of John WINKLER, and hir children the following real astate to wit: The South East quarter of the South east quarter of Sectian thirty three (33) in Township two, and the North half, of the South East quarter of the South west quarter of Section thirty three (33) all in Township No two, North Range four west, Containing Sixty acres. And further the North East quarter of the North East quarter of Section three Township No one of range four West and also the South East quarter of the North East quarter of Section three in Township No One containing in all eighty six and forty hundredths of an acre.

All of the above Land is situated in the County of Clinton and State of Illinois.

I do nominate and appoint my husband Casper STROOT, to be the sole Executor of this my last will and testament.

In Testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal, and publish and decree this to be my last will and testament in present of the witnesses named below, this thirteenth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighty five (1885).

Personally Appeared in open Court H. H. ZIMMERMANN and G. Schulte subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Anna Catharine Stroot late of the Town of Breese Clinton County deceased who being duly sworn according to law do depose and say, each for himself, that they subscribed their names to the foregoing instrument as the attesting witnesses at the request of the said Testatrix and in her presence, and in the presence of each other, on the 13th day of March A.D. 1885 That she then and there made her mark thereto in their presence and declared the same to be her last Will and Testament and that the said Testatrix at the time of executing the same as aforesaid was of full age, of sound mind and memory, and under no constraint.
