Last will and testament of Albert JANSEN

In the name of God Amen. I Albert Jansen of the County of Clinton and State of Illinois of the age of 71 years and being of sound mind and memory, do make publish and declare this, my last will and testament in the manner following that is to say

1st it is my will that all my just debts and funeral expenses is fully paid by my wife Friederika Jansen out of the property herein after bequeath to her.

2en I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Friederika Jansen all the cash money, notes, and credits on hand at the time of my death, and I give her full power and authority to collect and to sue for the same in her own name. Allso the half of the proceeds of the sale, as herein after directed. Allso, the use of one Room which she may choose select in the house in which we now reside, one bedstead and bedding, her boarding and $50.00 yearly during her natural life all of which is to be accepted and received by her in lieu of her dower.

3. I give and bequeath to my son Bernard $375.00 also to my son John $357.00 and to have his home at the house of Henry Jansen until he is remarried. Allso to William WELLING and Bernard Welling, each of them $65.00. Allso to Dina SCHMIT $100.00-- All of which is to be paid by my son Henry Jansen the half of cash sum one year after my death, and the other half two years after my death provided the person named have become of age.

4. I give and bequeath to my son Henry Jansen all my Real Estate to wit, the North half of North east quarter of Section two, Town one North Range five west, allso the south half of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section thirth five in town two, north of range five west, and three acres of west side of northwest of north west quarter sections one town one, north of range five all west of the 3ed pm meridian. Allso the half of the proceeds of sale as hear after directed for which he shall pay as aforesaid to Bernard Jansen $375.00, to John Jansen $375.00, to Wm Welling $65.00, to Bernard Welling $65.00, to Dina Schmidt $100.00 to the Catholic Church at Hull Station Clinton Co Ills $100.00 and to his mother $50.00 yearly and to maintain her in Boarding to give her the use of one room as heretofore stated, but if they can not agreeable live together so that his mother should move out of the house, then he shall pay her yearly $120.00 extra during her lifetime.

5. It is also my will and I hereby make it the absolute condition that all the Real Estate which I have hereby willed to my son Henry Jansen shall be security and Bond for all the payments fulfillment of all the obligations herein mentioned and he shall have no right to sell or convey the same before all the payments and the fulfillments of all the obligations named inthis will are made and when all this payment and obligations are duly satisified, then this will shall be a good title to all my real estate to him and not before.

6. I appoint my son Henry Jansen as my executor to probate this will without giving bond and security to sell all my personal property which I have not yet donated. The net proceeds of said sale to be the other half for him and the other half for his mother, and I hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

Personally appeared in open Court Heinrich WESTERFELDHAUS and John MEIER subscribing witnesses to the annexed instrument of writing. Purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Albert Jansen late of said County deceased, who eing duly sworn according to law do depose and say each for himself, that they were present and saw the said Albert Jansen sign said Will in their presence and that they believe, that the said testator was of sound mind and memory, of lawful age and under no constraint when he signed said will.
