Last Will and Testament of John Huey of the County of Clinton and State of Illinois

I John Huey considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory (Bless the to Almighty Father for the same) do make and publish this my last will and Testament in the names and form following (that is to say) I will that all my just debts as shall be by me owing at my death together with my funeral expenses and all the charges the proving of or otherwise concerning this my will. Shall in the first place out of my personal Estate and effects be fully paid and Satisfied; and from and after payment thereof. and Subject thereunto. then my will is that all the residue of my goods Stocks Chattels hous hold furniture shall belong to my Beloved wife Anes Huey for the purpose of raising our children on. and I make and ordain my Beloved wife Anes Huey and Joseph Huey Executors of this my last will and testament with the full power to sell and convey all the Real Estate belonging to me at this ,being now be in and lying in Clinton County and State of Illinois . of the proceeds of which I give and bequeath one Thousand Dollars to my Daughter Mary: and my will is that my said executors Shall have the power to enter or purchase som conveniant place near the Timber with part of the proceeds of my lands when sold and the balance of the money to be loaned on interest for the benefits of my heirs------------and if Sufficient Sum of money be Realized from the sale of my land aforesaid over and above what is takes to purchase them a home, then in that case and bequeath to Eliza Huey the sum of One Hundred dollars when she comes of age twenty one years also to James Mulky Huey the like sum of one Hundred Dollars at the age of twenty one years, also Joseph Martin Huey the like Sum of one Hundred Dollars also John Bryan Marion Huey the like sum of one Hundred Dollars when of the age of twenty one years also Sarah Phebe Huey the like sum of one Hundred Dollars at the like age of twenty one years :also Caroline Elizabeth Huey the like sum of one Hundred Dollars at the age of Twenty one year sand futhur it s my will that my Executors be Authorized so soon as the money be Realized to purchase eighty acres of land with their Respective shares or sums of money as I have mentioned for each of my heirs except for Mary and Elizabeth whose authorised to lay it our at there own discretion. the place to be purchased for my family out of the first moneys realised from the sale of my Real Estate, and I give and bequeath it to my beloved wife Anas Huey during her mortal life and at her death then in that case same to revert to my heirs to Equally deivded among them. Herby revoking all former wills made by me In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seat the fifth day of Mary Eighteen Hundred and thrifty eight.
