Hello, My great great grandfather, Frederick KIRCHER, according to some
in the family, came from Wuerttemberg Germany around 1845. A few years
later in Illinois (some feel this may have been in Whiteside County.) I
did find some data there on a Frederick KIRCHER, but that Frederick
married a Louisa FRY. At some point he married a Louisa FIX. Some say
that Louisa too came from Wuremtmberg. Unfortunately both Frederick AND
Louisa have been a brick wall. This has been complicated by the fact
that I've data on at least four Frederick KIRCHER's from Illinois to
Kansas to Mississippi to Pennsylvania. Any help you might provide on
the FIX surname would certainly be appreciated. Cordially, Tommy
Kircher Fort Worth, Texas

Looking for cemetery or gravesite of our second great-grandfather, John
M. Clayton, born ca. 1839 in GA, died 16 March 1869 in Centralia,
Clinton Co.,IL or Marion Co., IL. We are looking to see if he has a
tombstone. He was a Southern Unionist who fought with the 1st Alabama
Calvary Co. B, U.S.A. He moved his family from Alabama during the Civil
War for protection to Decatur, IL then to Marion Co., IL. We think that
he died in a Clinton Co., IL hospital in March the 16th of 1869 and his
family returned to Alabama. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, Scotty Kent Burleson

Does anyone know anything about Clarence J. Jones (born sometime after
1874)to Mary E. Jones, widow of John DeLaunius, probably of Franklin
CO, IL. He lived on Pullen in
Centralia, with his wife Inez and children Billy and June (born 1921).
He was a railroad engineer. He lived until at least the late 40's. Inez
then moved to TX with her daughter and was buried in Centralia around
1970. I believe Billy remained in the area. June married a man called
"Peck" Williams. Billy's wife was June, I think.
