Francis W. Koch, 77

Seventy-seven-year-old Beckemeyer resident Francis W. "Bill" Koch died Saturday, Aug. 5th, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese.

Born in Beckemeyer on Feb. 19, 1912, he was a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Aarns Koch Sr. He married Theresa Richter in Breese on Nov. 6, 1934, and she survives.

In addition to his widow, survivors include two sons, Gerhard Koch of St. Peters, Mo., and Jim Koch of St. Charles, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Timmermann of Creve Coeur, Mo., and Mrs. Mary Shallow of Bridgeton, Mo.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three brothers; Joseph Koch Jr. of Clearwater Fla., Bernard Koch of Yuba, Calif., and Benedict Koch of Germantown; and five sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Jewell of Mexico, Mo., Mrs. Dorothy Wragmann of Caufield, Mrs. Beatrice Walls of Cuba, Mo., Mrs. Cornelia Sorrell of St. Louis and Mrs. Marcella Knapp of Beckemeyer.

Mr. Koch was a retired material handler for General Motors. He was a member of the Breese Knights of Columbus.

He also was a member of the St. Anthony's Church in Beckemeyer where his funeral was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug 8th. Rev. Edwin Hustedde officiated with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation was at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle.
