Catherine Eilers, 95

Mrs. Catherine M. Eilers, 95, of Breese died Sunday, May 19th, 1996, at her home.

Born in Illiopolis on May 11th, 1901, she was a daughter of Henry and Theresa Maue Richter. On Sept. 7th, 1932, in Breese, she married Edward Eilers. He died April 20th, 1995.

Survivors include three daughters, Sister Monica Marie Eilers, SSND of Brownsville, Texas, Mrs. Cecelia Wilke of St. Rose, and Mrs. Clare Wesselmann of Breese; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Anthony Richter of Albuquerque, N.M., and Edward Richter of Breese; and three sisters, Sister Ann Marie Richter, OLVM of Huntington, Ind., and Mrs. Dorothy Kampwerth and Dorothy Richter, both of Breese.

Mrs. Eilers was preceded in death by two daughters, Helen Winkler and Marie Eilers.

She was a member of St. Augustine's Church in Breese, Altar Sodality of the church, and Catholic Knights and Ladies of Illinois.

The Rev. Father Melvin Haas officiated at services held at St. Augustine's today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. Burial followed in St. Dominic's cemetery in Breese.

Visitation was at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
