Margaret Altepeter, 92

Breese resident Margaret M. Altepeter died at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese on Aug. 22nd, 2000. She was 92 years old.

A daughter of Henry and Caroline Elling Richter, she was born in Breese on Jan. 5th, 1908. She married Joseph Altepeter in Breese on Feb. 1st, 1928. He died Nov. 29th, 1995.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Johanna Schulte and Mrs. Mary "Babe" Kruep, both of Breese, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Margaret Altepeter; four brothers, Henry, Theodore, Benedict and George Richter and two sisters, Elizabeth Kruep and Helen Huelsmann.

A member of St. Dominic's Church in Breese, Mrs. Altepeter's funeral was held there at 10 a.m. Friday Aug. 25th Rev. Patrick Peter officiated with burial in St. Dominic-St. Augustine's cemetery in Breese.

Visitation was at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
