George Fischer

George Fischer was born on September 21, 1850, at Grossniederheim, Bavaria, Germany. After a three year service in the German army, having received an honorable discharge, he was united in marriage to Maria Schowalter. In 1874 they came to America. Eight children were born to them, two of which preceded the father to the grave. On November 20, he suffered a paralytic stroke which caused death at 1:45 p.m. on November 21, aged 73 years and 2 months. He is survived by his widow, one daughter and five sons.
