Frank B. Nordmann, 90, a resident of the Breese Nursing Home, formerly of Trenton, died Monday, Jan. 30, 1989, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

He was born in St. Rose on Aug. 5, 1898, son of Bernard and Mary (Schroer) Nordmann. He married Christine Tebbe in St. Rose on April 24, 1933, and she died Feb. 24, 1979.

Survivors include two sons John Nordmann of rural Trenton and Virgil Nordmann of Lebanon; three daughters, Freida Kirkland of Bakersfield, Calif., and Jane Diesen and Mary Diesen, both of Germantown; three sisters, Emma Holtgrave of St. Rose, Elizabeth Fischer of Trenton and Catherine Tebbe of Highland; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Nordmann was a retired farmer and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton, the St. Mary’s Holy Name Society, the Catholic Knights & Ladies of Illinois and Trenton Knights of Columbus Council 2932.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton with Rev. Clem Dirler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation was held at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The Knights of Columbus recited the Rosary at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
