MEMPHIS MAN AGE 84, DIES OF PARALYTIC STROKE

Had Been Sick Two Weeks-refused To Have Doctor Administer Help to Him

August Schroeder, of New Memphis Station, died at his cabin on the Okaw River Wednesday afternoon at the age of 84 years. He and his son, who is deaf and dumb, had been living in the cabin and about two weeks ago he suffered a paralytic stroke. He refused to have a doctor called and Sunday afternoon his son rode to one of the neighbors homes and informed them that his father had passed away about 3:00 o’clock that afternoon. Coroner Timmerman was summoned and at the inquest it was decided that his death was due to a paralytic stroke.
