Mrs. Regina Krebs Richter, 84, of Breese, Dies

Mrs. Regina Krebs Richter, 84, a lifelong resident of Breese, died Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese where she had been a patient for five days.

She had been ill with influenza for two days and had fallen at her home along Route 50. She then entered the hospital where she died suddenly five days later from an apparent heart attack.

She was born in Breese July 11, 1883, the daughter of Theodore and Anna (Molitor) Klutho.

She was married to Leo Krebs on June 12, 1907. He died in March of 1943 and in November 1950 she married Bernard Richter, who died in 1955. She had been living in the same home for the past 61 years, where her daughter lived with her husband.

She was a member of St. Dominic Altar Sodality and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Marie Kohrs of Pontiac, Mrs. Dorothy Reid of Van Nuys, Calif. and Mrs. Betty Meissner of Annaheim, Cali., and a son, Robert Krebs of Breese. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Dominic Church with Rev. H.H. Aydt officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

The body lay in state at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
