ALFRED RATERMANN, AGE 4 YEARS, DIES OF DIPTHERIA
Young Son of Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Ratermann Quarantined Only a Week
Alfred Ratermann, the 4 years old son of Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Ratermann who lives about two miles north west of this city, died early Wednesday morning of diphtheria. He had been quarantined about a week, the disease getting such a strong hold on him that all medical aid was of no avail.
Funeral services were held at St. Dominic Church Thursday afternoon.
Mrs. Ratermann, who is suffering from diphtheria, is recovering. The quarantine is not yet lifted but the patient is not in any great danger at this time.
There are a number of other cases of diphtheria in this community, all of which are quarantined. None however are considered serious.
