Norbert R. Feltrop Sr., 75, of Breese, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital at Breese.

He was born Oct. 1, 1924, at Breese, the son of Lillian E. (Thien) and Arthur F. Feltrop. On April 24, 1946, he married Vera M. Berndsen, at Breese, and she survives.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan (Ron) Nunn of Lebanon; a son, Norb (Jackie) Feltrop Jr. of Roswell, Ga.; five grandchildren, Eric and Brian Nunn and Rachel, Colin and Sarah Feltrop; a brother, Glen Feltrop of Breese; and two sisters, Cleo Busselman of St. Louis, Mo., and Marlene Leard of O'Fallon.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Juliana "June" Feltrop.

Norbert was a retired truck driver for National By-Products of St. Louis, Mo. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Breese, and Teamsters Local 600.

Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Dominic Church. The Rev. George Mauck presided at the 11 a.m. memorial Mass at the church. A private burial was held.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Hempen Funeral Home in Breese was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
