Bobby Curtner, 25

Twenty-five year old Bobby L. Curtner of Shattuc died Tuesday, Jan. 1st, 2002, near Shattuc, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

A son of Billie M. and Mary M. Frank Curtner, he was born in Breese on Dec. 5th, 1976.

Survivors include his mother of Shattuc; three brothers, Terry Curtner of Walnut Hill Danny Curtner of Shattuc and Jerry Curtner of Camp LeJune, North Carolina; two sisters, Mrs. Jackie Yardley of Shattuc and Mrs. Kim Kuhn of Sandoval and grandmother, Mrs. Bernice Frank of Mechansburg.

His father died on Dec. 28th, 1977.

Bobby graduated from Carlyle High School in 1995, where he had participated in football and rodeo riding bulls. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a former member of the Illinois High School Rodeo Association and was involved in the Military Rodeo whre he was a member of the Military Bull Riders Association. His favorite activities included hunting, fishing, horseback riding and all sporting events.

Bobby was currently employed by Diesen Roofing in Germantown. He was a member of Shattuc United Methodist Church.

Rev. Harold Quick will officiate at services at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4th, at Day Funeral Home in Sandoval. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial park in Centralia.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3rd, and from 8 a.m. until time of service Friday.
