Dean L. Bright, 74, of rural Salem, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Salem Community Hospital in Salem. He was born Saturday, January 9, 1937 in Boulder, IL; the son of Victor O. and Evelyn (Carter) Bright. Dean married Eula Henson on April 11, 1987 in Chicago, IL. She survives him in Salem.

Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Evelyn; and brother, Bill Victor Bright

Dean worked as an engineer for the Illinois Central Railroad. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Centralia, Eastern Star of Salem, and former Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge in Salem. He was also a member of the Alma Christian Church. He liked flying, watching baseball, avid Chicago Cubs fan, and watching game shoes, especially Jeopardy.

VISITATION…... will be conducted on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Day Funeral Home in Sandoval.

GRAVESIDE SERVICES…. Will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Prichett Cemetery in Boulder. Rev. Randy VanAusdall will officiate the services.

MEMORIALS…. . may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
