RASCH, Johann Ernst Peter | 83 | Beaver Prairie IL | Trenton Sun | 18 May 1894 | Regina |
At Beaver Prairie on May 14, 1894, Mr. Ernest RASCH, aged 83 years, 7 mo., and 5 days. He was born Oct. 9, 1810, at Stapleburg near the Harz, Prussia, and spent his youth and early manhood in his native country. In 1852 he emigrated to America. He has lived in Trenton and vicinity for over thirty-four years, and was known as a quiet, industrious citizen, who patiently bore his share of this world's burdens and trials.
His family consisted of ten children, six of whom survive him; also 43 grand, and great grandchildren. He had been ailing somewhat for some time. Like the ripened sheaf however, he was ready for the harvest, and gave up the ghost on May 14. He was buried at the Old Baptist church graveyard on Beaver Creek, May 15, 1894. He was the father of F. W. RASCH of our city.
Peace unto his ashes!
