Victor E. Ratermann, 89, of St. Rose died Friday, Jan. 23rd, 2004, at his residence.

He was born on Dec. 21st, 1914, in Aviston, the son of George and Bernadine Peek Ratermann, and they preceded him in death. On April 30th, 1940, at St. Rose Church, he married Veronica Straeter, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 6th, 1996.

Surviving are five daughters, Jane Dapkus of Pocahontas, Patricia Beard of Highland, Rita Nyhoff of Chesterfield, Mo., Carol Svezia of Granite City and Rosemary Ross of Centralia; a son, Stanley Ratermann of Mulberry Grove, and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Ratermann was retired from farming. He was a member of St. Rose Church, where his funeral services was conducted today, Wed., January 28th, at 2 p.m. with Mnsg. Paul Sheridan officiating.

Interment followed in St. Rose Cemetery.

Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
