Ronald L. Jarrell, 51, of Breese died Thursday, Feb. 19th, 2004, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville.
He was born on February 27th, 1952, in East St. Louis, the son of Carl and Caroline Kult Jarrell, and she survives in O’Fallon. On March 16th, 1973, in O’Fallon, he married Michelle Orwig, and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Jarrell of Shiloh; a son, Brian Jarrell of Breese; one grandson; four brothers, Carl Jarrell of New York, Garry Jarrell of Marine, Bill Jarrell of California, and James Jarrell of Shiloh, and four sisters, Cindy Karraker of Shiloh, Diane Jarrell of Belleville, and Judy Shannon and Kathy Hurst, both of O’Fallon.
Mr. Jarrell worked for the CSX Transportation Railroad as a signal maintainer. He was a member of the Breese Knights of Columbus and local chairman of St Louis West District of the brotherhood of Railroad Signalman, Winton Local 94.
He was also a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese, where a memorial service was conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 24th, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating.
Interment followed in St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery.
