Regina A. Seiffert, 85, formerly of Carlyle, died Sunday, Feb. 8th, 2004, at Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Greenville.

She was born on April 5th, 1918, in Aviston, the daughter of Gerhard and Josephine Rakers Kampwerth, and they preceded her in death. On Oct. 8th, 1940, in Carlyle, she married Louis L. Seiffert, and he preceded her in death on June 15th, 1985.

Surviving are a son, John Seiffert of Centralia; four daughters, Mary Marquis and Florence Dyer, both of Greenville, Tillie Ronat of Schererville, Ind., and Mabel Peery of Forney, Texas; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; five brothers, Urban, Joseph, Cornelius, Gerald, Frank and Roland Kampwerth, all of Carlyle, and two sisters, Leonilda Diekemper and Jo Agnes Beckemeyer, both of Carlyle.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Herman Seiffert; a sister, Sr. Veronica Kampwerth; two brothers, Herman and Norbert Kampwerth, and a grandson.

Mrs. Seiffert was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carlyle.

A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted, today, Wednesday, Feb. 11th, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating.

Internment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation was at Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle.
