Ralph N. Feldman, 85, of Beckemeyer died Friday, Feb. 6th, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

He was born on December 18th, 1918, in Beckemeyer, the son of John and Rose Erlinger Feldmann, and they preceded him in death. On April 10th, 1948, at St. Anthony’s Church in Beckemeyer, he married Evelyn F. Kolmer, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 6th, 1993.

Surviving are four sons, Richard Feldman of Warrenton, Mo., Gerald Feldman of Beckemeyer, James Feldman of Carlyle, and John Feldman of Bartelso; a daughter, Jane Lauchu of Panama; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mark Feldmann of Carlyle and John Feldman of Algonquin, and a sister, Pat Kuczka of Atlanta, Ga.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Mike Feldman; three sisters, Bernice Feldman, Dorothy Radosh and Mary Brueggemann, and two brothers, Maurice and Fr. Jerome Feldman.

Mr. Feldman was a retired mechanic and worked at Scott Air Force Base. He also was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Holthaus-Kampwerth American Legion Post 1227 in Beckemeyer, Veterans of Foreign War Post 3523 in Carlyle and a member of St. Anthony’s Church in Beckemeyer.

A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 10th, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, with Fr. Chuck Tuttle and Deacon Bob Lippert officiating.

Interment followed in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

Visitation was at Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle.
