Clara “Dolly” Holtgrave, 87

Clara H. “Dolly” Holtgrave, 87, of Breese died Sunday, April 18th, 2004, at her residence.

She was born on December 20th, 1916, in Wakanda, Mo. the daughter of William and Lydia Anders Stevenson, and they preceded her in death. On November 25th, 1939, in Jamestown, she married Julius Jenne, and he preceded her in death on May 5th, 1977.

She later married Alois Holtgrave on February 15th, 1983, at St. Felicitas Catholic Church in Beaver Prairie, and he preceded her in death on February 6th, 1999.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Sarah and Adam Bickl, and a brother, Donald Stevenson of Georgetown, La.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Walter, Willis and Paul Stevenson.

Mrs. Holtgrave was a home healthcare provider and a homemaker. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Breese and Concordia Saengerchor.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 22nd, at 10 a.m. at St. John United Church of Christ in Breese, with Rev. John Klueter officiating.

Interment will be in Carlyle Cemetery.

Visitation will be held today, Wed., April 21st, from 4-9 p.m. and on Thurs., April 22nd, from 8-9:45 at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
