Walter C. “Corky” Schulte, 62
Walter C. “Corky” Schulte, 62, of Breese died Saturday, Oct. 23rd, 2004, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 4th, 1941, in Breese, the son of Walter and Evelyn Rolfingsmeyer Schulte, and they preceded him in death. He married Darlene “Darts” Deien on April 25th, 1962, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, and she survives in Breese.
Surviving are three sons, Jeffrey Schulte of Breese, and Joseph and Jonathan Schulte, both of Germantown; one daughter, Janel Mueller of Sahuarita, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; a brother, Marvin Schulte of Breese; and a sister, Donna Reidemann of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Edward Dust; and a brother, Bradley Dust.
He was a mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service in St. Louis and was a mail carrier in Breese for 22 years. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Men’s Sodality, Breese Knights of Columbus Council 2869, Breese Fire Department, where he was an instructor for CPR and First Aid and Breese Rod and Gun Club.
A funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with Father Charles Tuttle officiating.
In keeping with his wishes, his body was cremated.
Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
The Breese Knights of Columbus prayed the rosary at 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
