Brian J. “BC” Case, 58

Brian J. “BC” Case, 58, of Highland died Saturday, Oct. 9th, 2004, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 24th, 1946, in Highland, the son of Orville E. and Loretta S. Long Case, and they preceded him in death.

Surviving is his former wife, Brenda S. Case of Highland; two daughters, Bonnie S. Smith of Carlyle and Beverly A. Case of Highland; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Bruce J. Case of Florence, S.C., and James M. Case of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William M. Case.

He had worked for Highland Supply Company until entering the U.S. Army. He served during the Vietnam War earning the Vietnam Service, Vietnam Campaign, National Defense Service and Army Commendation medals. He was a member of the Armored Calvary Division and honorably discharged as an E4. He returned to work at Highland Supply from 1970-1977.

After schooling as a diesel operator, he was a journeyman operator at the City of Highland’s power plant. He enjoyed model railroading the Lionel “O” and standard gauge trains. He restored, collected and repaired model trains.

He was a member of the VFW Post 5694, New Switzerland Railroad Club and St. Paul Catholic Church, all in Highland.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Oct. 11th at 8 p.m. at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, with Father David L. Peters officiating.

Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
