Kenneth H. “Ken” Loeser, 70

Kenneth H. “Ken” Loeser, 70, of Keyesport died Saturday, Oct.9th, 2004, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 26th, 1933, in Belleville, the son of the late Anthony and Pauline Mank Loeser.

Surviving is his wife, Maris Howard Loeser; two sons, Kenneth J. Loeser of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Gerry A. Loeser of Belleville; three daughters, Denise Johnson, Theresa Mitchell and Donna Loeser, all of Belleville; a stepson, Keith Blaies; two stepdaughters, Lauren Blowers and Suan Blaies; a sister, Mary Peterson of North Little Rock, Ark.; and six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He retired in 1988 as a public affairs officer with the federal government. He was a life-member of the First Marine Division Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the Korean War from 1952-1953 as a Marine rifleman and in Vietnam in 1964 as a journalist. He was president of Southside Improvement Association in 1968 and a senior vice-commander of the Belleville VFW Post 1739 in 1970.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 12th at 10 a.m. at Pete Gaerdner Funeral Home in Belleville, with the Rev. Hal Santos officiating.

Burial was in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
