Robert W. “Bob” Williams
Robert W. “Bob” Williams, 79, of Trenton died Wednesday, Oct. 6th, 2004, at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese.
He was born June 20th, 1925 in Spring Garden, the son of John and Mae Campbell-Shurtz Williams, and they preceded him in death. On Oct. 16th, 1945, in Lincoln, Neb., he married Roxie Johnston, and she survives in Trenton.
Surviving is a son, Michael Williams of Findlay; a daughter, Cherolyn Williams of Vero Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and three brothers, Marvin, Thurman and Bill Williams, all of Bonnie.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen and Fred Shurtz.
He was a retired principal from Wesclin Junior High School in Trenton and taught previously at Clay City Senior High School, Bethel Grade School in Mt. Vernon and McClellan Grade School in Waltonville. He was an Army/Air corps veteran of WWII. He was a member of Locust Hills Golf Club in Lebanon.
He was also a member of West Gate Baptist Church in Trenton, where funeral services were conducted Saturday, Oct. 9th, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Mike May and Rev. Tom Leveling officiating.
Burial was in Kirk Cemetery in Ina.
Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
