Stanley Gene Weischedel, 57

Stanley Gene Weischedel, 57, of Carlyle died Saturday, Nov. 20th, 2004, at Gateway Regional Hospital in Granite City.

He was born Jan. 21st, 1947, in Gunnison, Colo., the son of Harold and Rose Peters Weischedel. He married Rhea French in Peoria on Sept. 17th, 1971, and she survives in Carlyle.

Surviving are five sons, Steven and Terry Weischedel, both of Vandalia, Larry and Curt Weischedel, both of Keyesport, and Tom Weischedel of Carlyle; his father, Harold Weischedel; a sister, Corinne Ditmar; and two brothers, Warren and Cecil Weischedel, all of South Dakota.

He was employed in the construction industry and was an avid gardener.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 27th at 10 a.m. at Zieren Day Funeral in Carlyle, with Rev. Tom Hoffmann officiating.

Burial will follow in McKendree Chapel Cemetery near Keyesport.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Nov. 27th, from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
