Helen Murphy Boos, 91

Helen Murphy Boos, 91, of Clinton died Monday, Nov. 8th, 2004, at her son’s home in Peoria.

She was born Aug. 13th, 1913, in Carlyle, the daughter of Peter J. and Christina Donnewald Murphy, and they preceded her in death. On Nov. 30th, 1940, in Carlyle, she married John F. “Jack” Boos, and he preceded her in death April 27th, 2001.

Surviving is a son, Jack Boos of Peoria; a daughter, Christine A. Boos of Oak Park; and three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Clinton. She was also a member of Chapter 8, PEO, former member of PTA, Welfare League and the C.H. Moore Homestead Museum Board.

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, Nov. 11th, at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, with Father Don Roszkowski officiating.

Burial will follow in Mausoleum Park Cemetery in Clinton.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 10th from 6-8 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton. They will pray the rosary at 6 p.m.
