Julia Hansen, 97

Julia S. Hansen, 97, of Trenton, formerly of Chicago, died Monday, Oct. 18th, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

She was born Oct. 4th, 1907, in Chicago, the daughter of Jens and Sophia Hansen Michaelson, and they preceded her in death. She married Carol Hansen, Sr., on June 11th, 1927, in Chicago, and he preceded her in death Dec. 8th, 1986.

Surviving are two sons, Carl Hansen, Jr., of Trenton and James Hansen of Weymouth Dorset, England; three daughters, Mary Gergits of Justice, Barbara Blayer of Arlington, Texas, and Betty Ann Isle of Buena Vista, Colo.; 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Anderson of Pleasant Hill, Calif.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Ruth Hansen and Esther Glyman.

She was a homemaker and of the Lutheran faith.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Oct. 22nd, at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Oak Hill Cemetery, Chicago, with Pastor Michael Nisbet officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Moss Funeral Home in Trenton is in charge of the arrangements.
