Edward B. Tebbe, 94

Edward B. Tebbe, 94, of St. Rose died Friday, Oct. 15th, 2004, at Aviston Countryside Manor.

He was born Aug. 29th, 1910, in St. Rose, the son of Herman and Clara Fischer Tebbe, and they preceded him in death. On Nov. 24th, 1955, at St. Rose Catholic Church, he married Veronica Wilke, and she survives in St. Rose.

Surviving are two sons, Herb Tebbe of Highland and Norb Tebbe of Breese; a daughter, Barb Haberer of Highland; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ray Tebbe of St. Rose, Michael Tebbe of Missouri, and Herman Tebbe of Long Beach, Calif.; and two sisters, Clara Liening and Anna Gnaedinger, both of Pierron.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Arnold, Victor, Hugo and Walter Tebbe.

He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and Men’s Sodality, Breese Knights of Columbus Council 2869, Breese American Legion Post 252, St. Rose Development Club, St. Rose Golden Age Club, Mater Dei Fathers and Friends and the Clinton County Farm Bureau.

A funeral mass was celebrated Monday, Oct. 18th, at 2 p.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, with Father Edward Schaefer officiating.

Burial was in St. Rose Cemetery.

Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

The Breese Knights of Columbus recited the rosary at 7 p.m. and the Breese American Legion held services at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
