Lloyd G. Buehler, 78

Lloyd G. Buehler, 78, of Carlyle died Saturday, July 17th, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

He was born Oct. 2nd, 1925, in Centralia, the son of Rudolph C. and Dorothea Roth Buehler, and they preceded him in death. On July 19th, 1947, in Piopolis, he married Flo Ann Eswine, and she survives.

Surviving are seven daughters, Anne Tomlinson, Donna Cushing, Mary Ashby, Barbara Tomlinson and Paula Piercey, all of Lebanon, Tenn.; and Jeannie Deiters and Geralyn Isenberg, both of Carlyle; three sons, Lloyd Buehler of Centralia, Bill Buehler of Lebanon, Tenn., and David Buehler of Carlyle; 23 grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Buehler of Breese.

Preceding him in death was a daughter, Carolyn Buehler; a grandson, Bradley Deiters; and three brothers, Bert, Charles, and Vincent Buehler.

He was a retired farmer and real estate agent. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and was assigned to the U.S.S. Indiana in the South Pacific Theatre. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 3523, Carlyle, Clinton County Farm Bureau, Clinton County R.E.A., U.S.S. Indiana Assn., and St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle.

A Mass of Resurrection was held today, Wednesday, July 21st, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, with Father George Mauck officiating.

Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation was at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle.
