Marie C. Sullivan, 95

Marie C. Sullivan, 95, of Greenville died Thursday, June 17th, 2004, at her home.

She was born March 22nd, 1909, in Sandoval, the daughter of William Joseph and Anna Mae Porter Buchholz, and they preceded her in death. On Aug. 21st, 1926, in Montecello, she married Al. H. Sullivan, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 7th, 1985.

Surviving are a daughter Dorothy Knight of Greenville; seven grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Buchholz of Gulfport, Miss., Lawrence Buchholz of Staunton; and two sisters, Anna Mae Reidelberger of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Patricia Collier of Naples, Fla.

Preceding her in death were two sons, Robert Edward Sullivan in infancy and Harold Lee Sullivan; seven brothers, William, John, Joe, Ben, Martin, Frank and Robert Buchholz; seven sisters, Jennie Rain, Rose Thomas, Kathryn Maxfield, Regina M. Koonce, Minnie Essen, Amelia Conway and Josephine Bimes.

She was raised in Sandoval and Pierron. She attended Sandoval High and graduated from Brown’s Business College. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, the National Camping and Hiking Association, Bond County Senior Citizen’s Center, and Utlaut Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she was a Pink Lady.

A funeral mass was Monday, June 21st, at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with Father Vic Kaltenbach officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.

Visitation was at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville.
