Vincent A. Ortmann, 84

Vincent A. Ortmann, 84, of Germantown died Saturday, June 19th, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

He was born Sept. 2nd, 1919, in Carlyle, the son of Frank and Anna Deters Ortmann, Sr., and they preceded him in death. On Sept. 3rd, 1947, at St. Francis Church in Aviston, he married Marcella Peek, and she survives in Germantown.

Also surviving is a son, David Ortmann of Germantown; two daughters, Mary Santel of Damiansville and Eileen Ratermann of Breese; five grandchildren; a twin brother, Walter Ortmann of O’Fallon; and a sister, Virginia Ratermann of Breese.

He was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Men’s Sodality in Germantown and the Clinton County Farm Bureau.

A funeral mass was Tuesday, June 22nd, at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown, with Father Stephen Humphrey officiating.

Burial was in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.
