Lester M. Troutt, 88

Lester M. Troutt, 88, of Sandoval died Saturday, Feb. 12th, 2005, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

He was born Nov. 9th, 1916, in Sandoval, the son of Charles and Lena M Hoffman Troutt, and they preceded him in death. He married Erma Jean Heinrich on March 8th, 1941, in St. Louis, Mo. and she preceded him in death on Jan. 1st, 2004.

Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Reckling of Shattuc and Sandra Turner of Willits, Calf.; and four grandchildren and seven grandchildren.

Also surviving is a brother, Dean Troutt of Sandoval; and a sister, Fern Hester of Shattuc.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, J. Henry Troutt.

Troutt lived in Sandoval all his life. He worked for Radmore & Bill Rick Ford in Centralia for 30 years and then Wiegman Ford in Carlyle for 23 years as service manager retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Sandoval United Methodist Church, Centralia Moose Lodge and a former Centralia League Bowler. He was a W.W. 2 Army Veteran Serving in the Asiatic & Pacific Campaign, the Liberation of the Philippines and was awarded two Bronze stars. He enjoyed sports and spending time with his family.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 16th, at 10 a.m. from the Day Funeral Home in Sandoval with Rev. Clayton Coffey officiating.

Burial will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery in rural Centralia.
