June E. Scheffel, 81, of Trenton died Saturday, April 10th, 2004, at Aviston Countryside Manor.

She was born on February 21st, 1923, in Randolph County, the daughter of Murray and Emma Steele Hindman, and they preceded her in death. In August of 1942, in Perryville, Mo., she married Walter Scheffel, and he preceded her in death on January 25th, 1965.

Surviving are a son, Bill Scheffel of Trenton; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Virgil Hindman of Florida, and three sister, Mary Brown of Granite City, Eula Fowler of Festus, Mo., and Lela Sauls of Bethalto.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Harold and Edward Hindman, and two sisters, Ollie Hindman and Myrtle Ervin.

Mrs. Scheffel was a homemaker and a member of West Gate Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, April 13th, at 10 a.m. at West Gate Baptist Church in Trenton, with Rev. Michael May officiating.

Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.

Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
