Loretta C. Kuper, 78

Loretta C. Kuper, 78, of Fairview Heights, formerly of Breese, died Tuesday, June 22nd, 2004, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

She was born Jan. 23rd, 1926, in Beaver Prairie, the daughter of Joseph and Mathilda Gnaedinger Kreiter, and they preceded her in death. She married Raymond Kuper on June 17th, 1947, at St. Felicitas Church in Beaver Prairie, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 25th, 2002.

Surviving are two daughters, Marlene Burr of Syracuse, N.Y., and Marilyn Madison of Fairview Heights; two grandchildren and a step-grandson; and a brother, Melvin Ratermann of Breese.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, Harry and Thomas Kreiter; and a sister, Eleanor Ratermann.

She was a homemaker, member of St. Dominic Church and Altar Sodality in Breese, Breese American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary and Daughters of Isabella Precious Blood Circle 718.

A funeral mass was held Saturday, June 26th, at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church in Breese, with Father Patrick Peter officiating.

Burial was in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery.

Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
