Mrs. Johanna Welling of Trenton, Died Saturday.

Mrs. Johanna Welling died Saturday, March 20, 1948, at the home of Mrs. Kate Zitzmann, Trenton, with whom she had been making her home. Deceased was born in Hanover, Germany, Nov. 16, 1872. Her husband, Bernard Welling, preceded her in death in March, 1936. Four children were born to this union, namely, George Welling, of Murdox, Kansas; Mrs. George Kuhl, of St. Louis, MO; Leo Welling, of Aviston; and Louis Welling, of St. Louis, MO. One son, Barney Welling and one daughter, Mrs. Rose Seger, preceded her in death. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ida Welling and 19 grandchildren. The body lie in state at the Brefeld Funeral Home in Aviston until time for burial Tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock from St. Francis Catholic Church, Aviston, IL. The Pastor, Rev. George Lohmann, read a requiem high mass for the repose of her soul and burial took place in St. Francis Cemetery, Aviston, IL. Mrs. Welling was a devout Catholic and attended services regularly until her health began to fail her. She was a member of the Married Ladies Sodality of St. Francis Parish. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
