Miss Anna DEUTSCH Passes Away Tues.

Miss Anna Deutsch, long-time resident of this community, passed away Tuesday in St. Mary's Home in Carlyle, where she has been for the past several months. Death came to her about 10:40 that morning and is contributed [sic] to infirmities of old age. At the time of her death she had attained the age of 89 years, 1 month and 3 days.

The deceased was born in Bavaria, Germany [city of Landstuhl] the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Deutsch. She came to this country when she was six years old, with her parents and they settled in this community. She received her education in St. Dominic School and taught school for several years in the Public School and at lake Branch. Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death a number of years ago.

The body will lay in state at the Bruegge-Heyer Funeral Home here until the time of services which will be held Friday morning, in St. Dominic Church, with the pastor, Father Aydt, officiating at the 9: a.m. requiem mass. Burial will follow the rites in St. Dominic Cemetery.
