Katharina Deutsch [nee Kloss] was born in Landstuhl Rheinbayern, Germany, October 12, 1825 and died at her home in this city, November 12, 1913, having reached the ripe old age of 88 years and one month. She was united in marriage to Henry Deutsch of Edenkoben, Germany and in the year 1868, came to Breese where she has made her home until she was called to her home above. She is survived by four daughters, one son, thirty grand-children, and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Although an invalid for several years, the disease did not destroy the charm of a kind indulgent disposition, nor old age diminish her unselfish solicitude for her friends and loved ones.

Vain is any attempt to measure the loss of a mother to her children after all the poets have sung and lovers dreamed, outside of heaven there is no love like mother-love.

Impressive funeral services were held from St. Dominic's Church, Saturday morning November 15, 1913.
