Leo A. Grasher, 84

Leo A. Grasher, 84, of Sandoval, died Saturday, March 12th, 2005.

He was born June 25th, 1920, in Sandoval, the son of Frank and Cecila Thomas Grasher and they preceded him in death. He married Helen Schnitzmeyer on Feb. 20th, 1943, in Sandoval and she survives.

Hohrein is survived by two sons, Roger Grasher of Odin and Thomas Grasher of Desoto; two daughters, Judi Jennetten of Libertyville and Julie Payne of Patoka; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by a brother, Joe Grasher of Centralia; and two sisters, Dorothy Stevenson of Salem and Josephine Rohner of Sandoval.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Adolph Grasher and three sisters, Hazel Maxine Grasher, Glendola Auberry and Dolores Greek.

Grasher lived his entire life in the Sandoval area. He was a retired dairy farmer, a devoted Meridian Township supervisor for eight years, a lifelong member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a member of the Elks Club of Centralia. He was an avid gardener and fisherman, and he often shared his bounty of garden and fish with family and friends.

Services were held Tuesday, March 14th, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Chuch with Father Patrick Peter officiating.

Burial was held at St. Lawrence Church Cemetery in Sandoval.

Day Funeral Home in Sandoval handled the arrangements.
