Leo P. LAMPE, 59, Dies in Hospital

Leo V. Lampe, 59, of 581 Gray Boulevard, East St. Louis, died at 11 a.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital, East St. Louis, where he had been a patient for six weeks. Mr. Lampe was an electrical supervisor at the Cerro Copper and Brass Company at Monsanto. He was a former chief of the Aviston Volunteer Fire Department.

A son of John and Anna Margaret Lampe, he was born at Aviston. His father preceded him in death; his mother resides at Aviston.

Besides his wife, Martha, and mother he is survived by a daughter, Margarite, wife of Kenneth DAUPHIN, 602 North 27th Street, Belleville; four brothers, A.H. and Marcellus Lampe, both of East St. Louis, Edwin Lampe, Bellmore, N.Y., and Alfred Lampe, St. Louis; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann JENNINGS, St. Louis and Mrs. Isabelle WIETER, Aviston, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson.

The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Robins Funeral Home, East St. Louis, to St. Joseph's Church, there, for a requiem Mass at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Monday. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8:15 p.m. Monday.
