Retired carpenter and farmer Edward L. Speiser 96,of rural Carlyle died June 28,1995, at St.Joseph¹s Hospital in Breese.

A son of Valentine and Mary ENS ,he was born in East Fork Township on May 2,1899. On Sept. 20, 1933 he married Adelpha MEIER and she survives.

Other survivors include nieces and nephews.

Mr. Speiser was a member of Ferrin Coop, Clinton County Electric, East Fork Conservation Club and Quail Club. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Carlyle, Illinois

His funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle. Rev. Jerome FELDMANN officiated with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Carlyle.
