John Reynolds of Berwyn and a former Carlyle resident ,died Jan. 20th 1998. He was 76 years old.

Born in Carlyle on Jan 22,1921 ,he was the son of Darrell "Cotton" and Catherine BUCHHOLZ Reynolds. In 1944, in St. Louis, he married Betty HAUSKINS She died June 13th 1993.

Survivors include his mother of Carlyle Healthcare Center (who died Jan. 30th): one daughter, Debra Reynolds of Berwyn; one sister, Shirley KING of Palm Desert Caif; three brothers Willis "Junior" Reynolds of Carlyle, Donald of Fruitland Md. and James "Babe" of Pensacola, Fla.

Mr. Reynolds retired from Sunbeam Corporation after 35 years. He was a veteran of World War Two and a member of the Coast Guard.

Burial was in Berwyn.
