Lillian Spicer, 92

Lillian R. Spicer, 92, of Sandoval died on Saturday, Oct. 15th, 2005, at Centralia Manor in Centralia.

Born on Oct. 22nd, 1912, in Pope Township in Fayette County, she was the daughter of Noah and Ruth Bobbitt Carter.

She married Glenn Spicer on April 4th, 1930 at Murphysboro and he survives in Sandoval. Survivors also include one son,

Kenneth Spicer of Sandoval; three daughters, Charlene Woods of Odin, Brenda Altadonna of Centralia and Barbara Williams of Centralia; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Spicer was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bill Carter; and one sister, Eunice Sandy.

An area lifelong resident, she was a member of the United Methodist Church of Sandoval and a former member of the Queen Esther Class at church. She was a former member of the Sandoval Woman's Club. A member of the AARP and a past president of the Centralia chapter, she most enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Funeral services were on Monday, Oct. 17th, at 11 a.m. at Day Funeral Home in Sandoval with the Rev. Clayton Coffey officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation was at Day Funeral Home on Sunday and Monday before the start of services.
