Carlyle- Harold GRAYLING, 64,of Junction City, died at 7 p.m. Sunday in a drowning accident near Centralia.
He was born in Lake Township in Clinton County on Dec. 3,1924 the son John G. and Martha I.(BACKS) Grayling. He married Rosa M. WILLIAMSON on March 18,1955 at Nashville and she survives.
Also surviving are a stepson, James GARREN of Clarksville, Tenn: Three brothers, Oscar Grayling of Breese; Truman Grayling of Carlyle and Clifford Grayling of Posey; three sisters, Frieda WINKLER, of Centralia and Lucille JASPER and Shirley POMMER both of Beckemeyer; and four grandchildren.
Mister Grayling was a lifelong resident of the area. He had retired in 1978 from Kas in Centralia. He was of the Lutheran faith and was a horseman and parade rider.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle; with cremation to follow.
Visitation is at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the services.
Memorials may be made to the Marion County Humane Society and will be received at the funeral home.
