James (Jimmy) TAYLOR, 84, of Carlyle died Saturday May 27,1995 at this home in Carlyle.
He was born Nov 22,1910, in Carlyle, son of James and Edith (STEIN) Taylor. He married Mildred KOLMER on May 7,1930 in Salem, and she died Oct 1, 1991.
Survivors include four sons, Roy Taylor and his wife Lou, Jesse and his wife, Rose, Jack Taylor and his wife, Pat, all of Carlyle, and Bob Taylor and his wife, Connie of Cabot, Ark.; five daughters, Mildred LAMPE and her husband Dave of Germantown, Phyllis SCHNIERS and her husband Bernell, of Carlyle, Darlene HEGGER and her husband Don, of Aviston, Ilene ALLISON and her husband Ray, of Bethalto and Nancy WOOD of Germantown; 26 grandchildren,10 step grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren , and two great great grandchildren.
Mr. Taylor was a life long resident of Carlyle and a retired construction heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He was a member of Teamsters Local 50 in Belleville. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy who served in World War II
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Zieren Day Funeral Home .in Carlyle with the Rev. Jerome Feldmann officiating. Internment will be in the Carlyle Cemetery.
Visitation is 5 to 9 pm today and 8 am to the time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurses association and will be received at the funeral home.
