Death of William STEIN

William Stein was born in Barthburg Germany February 13,1834. In 1854 he went to New Orleans and there with his parents to St. Louis. After May 18,1873 when he married Emily S. HOLLY he went to Washington County, and in 1904 he moved to Carlyle, where he lived at the time of his death.

His wife ,five children and seven grandchildren were with him during his last illness and at the time of his death, November 21.He also leaves three brothers.

Funeral was held Sunday from the German Evangelical Church and a sermon was preached by Rev. A W Cross of the M E Church because of the absence of Rev Juchhoff.
