Albers - Bernadine HUEGEN, 81, of Albers, died on Saturday 5,1998 at her home. Mrs. Huegen was born on Nov.18, 1916 in Carlyle, daughter of Fred and Fannie (ALLEN) MEIER. She married Arnold Huegen on Sept 26,1938, in Albers, Illinois and he survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Leroy O Huegen and his wife Janet of Lawrenceburg, Ind., and Stanley F Huegen and his wife, Francie, of Albers; one daughter, Sandra SCHULTE and her husband, Robert of Albers; one half sister, Mary BERGER, of Spring Hill Fla; one step brother, Carl COOK of Carlyle; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Adelpha SPEISER, Lee Dora TAYLOR and Nora Meier.

Mrs. Huegen was a home maker and a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Parish of Albers, the St. Bernard's Ladies Sodality and the Albers Commercial Club.

Services are 10 a.m. Monday at St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev. Leo Reinhardt officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Bernard Cemetery.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Hempen Funeral Home in Albers. A rosary will be said at the St. Bernard Church at 7 p.m. today

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the Funeral Home.
